Myrthos

Myrthos is a nice cosy bathing resort on the south coast of Crete near the city Ierapetra. There is the whole year “life” in the village that’s why we also recommend it as a good winter destination. We selected the Villa Mertiza for our program which is run by a Dutch family with the well-known Greek hospitality.

Roomy apartments and studios.

Our villa is a guest house with 8 two-room apartments and 14 studios, so 22 spacious places for you to stay in. All these apartments and studios are situated around a well cared for and colourful garden. At the front of the building you will find the reception as well as an attractive area, both inside and outside, to have a wide choice of breakfast or drinks at night. With our service and personal attention to our guests we try to make Villa Mertiza a place where you can feel at home. We are always ready to give you any information you need, but if you just want to have a little chat, that is fine with us too.

You will have more than enough space

Something that will be clear to you right away is the spacious lay-out of all our apartments and studios. And because you like to have a good night’s rest, we have made sure that our beds are excellent. Moreover, you will find a dining table and chairs and also a coffee table and chairs, inside and outside on your balcony or terrace, in every apartment or studio. Most two-room apartments even have two balconies in stead of one. Inside you can prepare simple meals in the kitchen. Of course, everything you need, such as sufficient cutlery, plates and pans, a corkscrew and bottle-opener are at your disposal in every studio and apartment. Extra services include TV and DVD rental, air conditioning, children’s facilities such as cots, baby chairs and buggies.

Let us first point out the difference between the apartments and studios: both are apartments because both come with a kitchen.

Studios:

To us a studio means a one-room apartment, so a living cum bedroom area with kitchen facilities. You will also find a bathroom with a shower, toilet and fitted basin. Every studio has a balcony or a terrace. The studios can accommodate 2 to 3 persons.

Two-room apartments:

Our two-room apartments have the same facilities, with an extra bedroom. Every apartment has a bathroom with a shower, toilet and a fitted basin. The apartments accommodate to a maximum of 5 persons.

Apartments cosier and more colourful

After painting all the apartments in the winter of 2004 – 2005, we will redecorate the rooms and add more colour and lighting and a few other extras. In Villa Mertiza you will also feel very much at home inside.
