Mirthios is a village 2 Km away from the tourist resort Plakias. In the summer this is a lively resort for many tourist that came more than once to our island. In the winter, peace comes back, but still you’ll find a pleasant local life, taverns, supermarkets a post office, pharmacy and a doctor. The distance to the city Rethymno is about 45 min. but there are only 2 busses per day, so a rental car comes out handy.
