HOTEL KISSAMOS - Kissamos
Kissamos or Kastelli is the most western city on Crete. You may arrive here in the summer with the ferry from the Peleponessos. It’s a small city with all amenities we need. Specially guest that like fresh fish will find near the harbor some good restaurants. On your trips in the area you’ll find some super sandy beaches and of course the old castle island Gramvousa. From here you can go to the south coast where you’ll find the Lagune beaches of Elafonissi and the lovely village Paleochora. If you like a less touristic part of Crete than Kissamos should be an option. Here we selected:

There are several different choices for those who want to visit the island of Crete. If you want to travel by plane, you can choose between the two international airports of the island, connecting Crete with the rest of the world, with daily charter and scheduled flights, all year round. Chaia airport is at: 45 Km and Heraklion on 180 Km. The port of Souda is 42 Km. Kissamos harbour is at 3 Km, but only in use during the summer.
These airports are close to the two major cities of the island, Heraklion and Chania (Daskalojannis Airport Chania). Most of the scheduled flights from these two airports are headed towards “Eleftherios Venizelos Airport” of Athens.
If the visitor prefers to travel by ferry, he can choose one of the four large harbors of the island. These harbors are close to the four biggest cities (Heraklion, Chania, Kasteli – Kissamos, Rethimnon, Agios Nikolaos) and are operating all year round.
