BOAT EXCURSIONS / CRUISES

Being on an island means that we can make boat excursions/trips/cruises to other islands or special places.

 

Santorini

The fast cruise starts from Heraklion on Monday. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. On Tuesday and Saturday from Rethymno

 

The Speed Runner II needs 2hrs and 30 minutes to arrive and departs either 7.00 or 8.30, this depending on the day.

The boat arrives in Athinios, the harbour from Santorini. Here busses are waiting for your excursion on the island.

You'll visit Thira 2 hours and Ioa 2 hours and in the high season also 2 hours the lava beaches on the south coast of Santorini here time for swimming and dinner.

The grand finale is the sunset trip with traditional boats around the volcanic island.

Back home we are at 23.00 hr. A sensational day to the most beautiful place of Greece.

CRETAN BOAT TRIPS.

(On the north coast)
Here we give some brief information about boat trips which stay closer to Crete.

GRAMVOUSA
From Kissamos / Kastelli leaves a tourist boat that during the summer season goes to the island of Gramvousa. This is a Venetian Fortress on a beautiful spot not far from the shore. A day excursion for which we supply the tickets.

 

CHANIA
From the old Venetian harbour departs regularly a small tourist boat heading for an island named Agios Theodori. It’s a protected nature area where some wild goats live. Other boats are the glass bottom types, ideal to discover the underwater world. Tickets at the boat.

 

RETHYMNO
From our city you can make different trips. Every week once or twice sails the pirate ship to Marathi a small bathing village on the Akrotiri near Souda(Chania) It’s a whole day with activities, swimming a lunch etc. Smaller 2-4 hour trips to nearby places are also available. Tickets at our office.

 

PANORMOS & BALI
From here you can sail on a real sailing boat. Groups are limited and if you need more information about times and prices, mail us.

 

AGIOS NICOLAOS
Venus Cruises - Spinalonga Cruise from Agios Nicolaos
Enjoy a magical cruise from Agios Nicolaos in the east of Crete.
Every day in the summer season the Venus departs from the harbor in Agios Nicolaos. We sail to the former Leper island Spinalonga and hear the impressing stories from our guid on board.
On the way is time for swimming in Kolokitha bay.
On our return we enjoy a stomach filling lunch

On the south coast

SAMARIA & CHORA SFAKION
The Ferry for the Samaria gorge and the village Loutro leaves every day between mid April and 31 October from the village Chora Sfakion. In the winter there’s a connection with the villages on Saturdays. If you need timetables, mail us.

 

GAVDOS last Paradise in Europe
On various days you can sail to the last island of Greece, Gavdos. This unspoilt paradise is especially favourite for the back packers, which enjoy the breezy summer night free on the perfect beaches. Here is the last place in Europe where civilization is limited. A small mini market provides canned food and bottled water and you feel totally from this planet for a few days. We can arrange your ferry and if you wish also a room on the island. PLAKIAS & AGIA GALINI.
From both harbours there are transfer boats leaving for the Prevelli Palm beach. A unique enclosed beach with an ancient palm tree forest on the riverbanks. Tickets for sale in our office and the boat leaves in the morning, at midday and returns at 16.00 PM.

 

IERAPETRA
From the harbour leaves the tourist boat to Chrissi Island where you find the best beaches of the area.
