Go Sailing with our Skipper

Sailing in the beautiful bay of Chania. Enjoy a private day trip (or multi-day trip) with the 37ft boat NOTOS

 

The sailing day trip starts from the old harbour in Chania at10 o' clock in the morning and we are heading to some lovely beaches and beautiful islands in the bay of Chania.

 

In less than an hour we are in Macherida bay (A), our first swimming stop where we enjoy the crystal clean waters and we can also use the snorkelling equipment that's available on the boat.

 

The next stop is about in 1 and half or 2 hours depending on the weather since that is the part that you can learn how we put up the sails and how the boat is moving with the wind – if the Greek God Poseidon permits us... ;-)

So we are now at Kri Kri island (B) and while you are having a nice swim, the skipper Nikos (and part-time cook) is preparing for you an organic Greek salad. The menu also includes some Cretan traditional pies (cheese pies, spinach pies etc) and all is accompanied with bottled organic white wine, beers, soft drinks, water etc. And if we are lucky we hope during our light lunch to see on the island the rare, Cretan wild goat named Kri Kri.

 

And now its time for our last stop, the small Lazaretta island (C) where we are swimming to the tiny beach of this island.

 

By 5 o' clock in the afternoon we will be approaching the old harbour of Chania having spent a nice day on the boat.

 

This will be our sailing day trip if the weather permits us, otherwise the skipper Nikos will decide for an alternative sailing route.

SAILING FROM RETHYMNO - PANORMOS - BALI HARBOR WITH THE CALYPSO

 

With our Sailing boat Calypso you can design your own trip in the Cretan Seas.

 

We can start from the northern harbours in Rethymno, Panormos or Bali. Time can be fixed with you in good harmony with our skipper Andreas.

 

For your sailing trip we suggest you visit the sea caves of Lianos Cavos, 13 Km. eastwards of Rethymno. Then the lovely fishermen’s village of Panormos and afterwards the bay of Bali in which is also an excellent area for snorkelling.

 

You can bring your own lunch or our captain will guide you to a good local tavern where they serve good fresh fish.

 

The boat will be private for your family/friends all day and can have maximum 10 persons.

Boat Trips from Gouves

From the harbour in Gouves, Heraklion-Chersonissos area we organise private trips to the island of Dias with the motor boats Anemos or Sea Dreamer. This is the Greek name for the God Zeus and the island is in the seas from Heraklion airport. That’s why many tourist see it from their airplane and they call it, the Dragon island.

 

We leave in the morning and go in a nice speed to the island, where only some wild goats live. On the sandy beaches we can take a rest, go for swimming or snorkelling or if we like we catch the fish for our barbeque.
